Immortelle: a look at figurative painting in France by Amélie Adamo and Numa Hambursin
Amélie Adamo, author and independent curator, and Numa Hambursin, Managing Director of MO.CO. Montpellier Contemporain, are continuing their commitment to the French figurative art scene at Art Paris 2025, after having served as associate curators of the exhibition Immortelle, an ambitious and unprecedented panorama of young French figurative painting in 2023. Based on a selection of thirty artists from among the participating galleries, the curatorial duo propose a new reading and historical perspective that brings several generations face to face.
This thematic tour will result in a catalog presenting the work of each selected artist, supported by a series of 4 round-table discussions on April 5 and 6 at the Grand Palais.
Hors limites by Simon Lamunière
Through a selection of 18 international artists from participating galleries, independent curator Simon Lamunière explores contemporary creation through the prism of crossbreeding, the hybridization of forms and cultures, and the back-and-forth between origins, gender, kinship, history and geography. Entitled Hors limites, its theme will give rise to a thematic itinerary within the fair and the production of a catalog presenting the work of each selected artist.
