Organized by Eyes Wide Open (part of The Eyes label), the Ronan Guillou Fellowship is launched as part of the CIVIS MARITIMUS program, which aims to explore the relationship between man and the sea, and to challenge the essential issues facing the ocean.

In 2025, with the support of the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture, a grant for photographic creation is offered to professional European photographers from the southern shores of the Mediterranean.

For its third edition, CIVIS MARITIMUS is inviting a photographer from the same region – Occitania – to produce a photographic project focusing on social, cultural, ecological and/or heritage issues, linking people and the marine world.

The photographer will receive an endowment of €4,000 and a two-month residency in Sète from May 5 to July 5, 2025, to carry out his/her project, with a partial restitution in September 2025.

The third edition of the Ronan Guillou Fellowship is supported by the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture. In tribute to French photographer Ronan Guillou.
