LAUNCH OF VIVIANE ESDERS PRIZE

An annual award for the career of a professional European photographer over 60 years old, who is independent and still working.

 

In January 2022, Viviane Esders – collector and expert in photography –  launches the first edition of the Viviane Esders Prize. The prize recognizes an already recognized career, the importance of which now deserves to be highlighted and to be more clearly inscribed in the history of photography. Each year, a prestigious jury will select five nominees, including one winner.

 

For this first edition, the call opens now until 15 April 2022.

 

The prize will reward the winner by enhancing his or her work with :

 

  • A financial endowment of €60,000 offered by Viviane Esder.

  • Part of the prize money (€10,000) will be used by the winner to produce a monograph on his or her work.

 

The Viviane Esders Prize is supported in its organisation by The Eyes +, the consultancy and production atelier of The Eyes label.
