Organised by The Eyes+ , the 3rd edition of the Viviane Esders Prize has been awarded to Jean-Claude Delalande.
Each year, the prize is awarded to an independent professional European photographer over the age of 60 who is still working. A major player in the world of photography, Viviane Esders is pursuing her commitment by creating this eponymous prize.
The prize is worth 50,000 euros, including 10,000 euros for the publication of a book. The other two finalists, Hannah Collins and Nicole Gravier, each receive 5,000 euros.
Every year since 2022, the Viviane Esders Prize has been awarded to European photographers aged over 60 who are still working.
For this third edition of the Viviane Esders Prize, 178 entries from 17 European countries were received, 24% from women photographers and 76% from men.
