L’ARCHIPEL

Occitanie, a land of poetry and legends around its Etang de Thau, inspires an artistic exploration of links with the sea, highlighting current ecological issues.

Through this artistic residency, the artist aims to tell a story, both visual and textual, where the poetry of the imaginary meets important themes such as ecology and the future threatened by rising waters around the territories of Sète, the Etang de Thau and the Golf du Lion.

Each image is obtained using a salt or tea print, an ancient photographic process that makes each print unique. The grain, textures and imperfections become the sensitive traces of this territory.

After an initial career in fashion and branding, since 2019 she has devoted herself to black and white silver photography, developing her images using ecological processes based on coffee and seawater. A resident of the volcanic island of Stromboli, she explores the relationship between humans and the environment in fragile territories. Her projects, such as Pelle di Lava and Les clapotis invisibles, question resilience in the face of natural disasters and resource limits, while asserting an animistic relationship with nature.
