TALK WITH CAMILLE GHARBI
18H30-19H30

“What role can art and culture play in the prevention of gender violence?”
The meeting will focus on the issue of gender violence, its representation and prevention, and on the links between arts, media and awareness. The questions that will guide the meeting are the following: what role can art and culture play in raising awareness and, by extension, preventing this type of situation? How can we represent and talk about gender-based violence in order to arouse empathy and open up avenues of reflection among the public, especially the affected public? How can professionals who deal with these issues use the work of artists, writers, or journalists as tools for social transformation in the field?

with Camille Gharbi (photographer), Raphaëlle Bertho (photo historian), Mathieu Palain (journalist), Marion Pillas (La Deferlante), Jean-Michel Taliercio (Dans le Genre Egales)

A conference organized by The Eyes and Camille Gharbi in collaboration with the association Dans Le Genre Egales. Moderated by Véronique Prugnaud, co-founder of The Eyes.
