TOGETHER TOWARDS MORE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIVENESS

IT WAS OVER HALF A CENTURY AGO…

Since the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 and the uprisings surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement, the world is once again reminded of the injustices, discrimination and violence suffered by racialized people in the United States and beyond.

After the awakening of consciences, it is a question of continuing to listen, learn and exchange. It is about opening the door to dialogue and continuing to work towards the necessary changes.

This indispensable change in mentalities is also our responsibility as actors in the artistic and cultural ecosystem.

Thus, The Eyes, is committed to work towards ever greater inclusiveness and awareness and hopes to continue in this direction through its future actions.

It is this will that led us to give carte blanche to the artist SMITH for the realization of the next issue of The Eyes around transidentity.  It is in this same spirit that we are preparing a book with the photographer Camille Gharbi on domestic violence.

It’s never enough. We have to go further and act faster.
