For this third episode of The Eyes Talks, we invited Belgian duo no sovereign author, photographers and caregivers at a psychiatric center, to talk to us about their book “Un Abécédaire de la Psychiatrie” published in November 2023.
The book “Un Abécédaire de la Psychiatrie” is the fruit of a collaboration between the artists – psychologist and occupational therapist respectively – and patients at the psychiatric day center “La Fabrique du Pré”, located in Nivelles, Belgium. Presented in the form of a dictionary, the work invites us to rethink the world of psychiatry through the eyes of patients.

Le livre Un Abécédaire de la Psychiatrie invite à repenser la psychiatrie par le prisme de ceux qui la vivent dans leur âme et dans leurs corps. 79 "planches" réalisées par les patients d’un centre psychiatrique, en collaboration avec le duo d’artistes NO SOVEREIGN AUTHOR accompagnent chaque entrée de cet abécédaire, proposant ainsi pour chaque mot ou concept, de nouvelles interprétations.
