The origin of this project is the discovery, in the attic of the family house, of the book “Ce que vaut une femme : Traité d’éducation morale et pratique des jeunes filles” published in 1893. The artist duo Elsa & Johanna were invited to take a contemporary look at these injunctions from another time. The twenty-four female characters they embody interfere in the chronology of the book, with irony and malice.
