Recently settled in Montpellier, Véronique Prugnaud and Vincent Marcilhacy, co-directors of The Eyes, are breathing new artistic life into the local photography scene. With a wealth of experience and an international background, they bring a singular vision, where photography and social commitment intertwine.
A publishing house like no other
Since 2013, The Eyes has set itself apart with projects that challenge: artistic publications, landmark exhibitions, innovative residencies and grants for emerging photographers. Their motto? To offer a platform where photography becomes a means of reflection and action, as exemplified by Camille Gharbi’s book Faire face, about domestic violence, or Patria, which explores exile through the eyes of Venezuelan artist Oleñka Carrasco.
