Photosaintgermains #8

The photo route of the rive gauche come this tuesday, November 5th with 33 exhibitions

Each year, in November, PhotoSaintGermains brings together a selection of museums, cultural centers, galleries and bookshops on the rive gauche around a photographic route.

Encounters, screenings, signatures and workshop visits punctuate the program in relation to the exhibitions presented.

Many encounters that absorb the major trends of contemporary photography and question its enhancement and dissemination.

Essential event in the artistic scene of contemporary photography, founded in 2011 by Aurélia Marcadier, art historian and co-founder of the TEMPLE structure dedicated to emerging contemporary photography and publishing; and Virginie Huet, author and freelance journalist, in charge of the 2014 Month of Photography. She writes regularly for magazines and exhibition catalogs.

The selection of exhibitions is provided by a scientific committee renewed each year and composed of collections managers, curators, critics, artists. This year we have : Simon Baker (Director of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie), Sebastian Hau (Artistic Director and Founder of the Polycopies Independent Publishers’ Fair), Virginie Huet (Co-Director of PhotoSaintGermains), Aurélia Marcadier (Co-Director from PhotoSaintGermains) and Sonia Voss (curator) ; who will be responsible for all exhibitions and activities.
